Here's how it works...
The Power Rack™ is to be used in high intensity sprint training. Its simple design includes a set of weights in 5 lb. increments; 10 to 100 lbs. The weights are attached to aircraft cabling and the cable is attached to a velcro belt.
The swimmer attaches the belt to his waist and then, in the water, pushes from the wall as if doing a normal wind sprint, lifting the weight in the Power Rack™ as he swims eleven and one half yards from the machine. This action conditions the swimmer in the medium in which he competes, and aids in the development of the power and speed requisite for success in competition.
Unlike free weights or other equipment of this nature designed to be used on land, the Power Rack™ is adaptable to all four strokes and allows the swimmer to use his legs as he would naturally.
